What are Superlatives?
Superlatives are used when we compare more than two things and show the highest level.
Example:
- Small → Big → Biggest
- Cold → The coldest
Rules of Superlatives
1. One Syllable
- cold → the coldest
- big → the biggest
2. Two or More Syllables
- beautiful → the most beautiful
- expensive → the most expensive
3. Ending with -y
- happy → the happiest
- funny → the funniest
4. Irregular Forms
- good → the best
- bad → the worst
- far → the farthest

- Aylin is the most hardworking student in the class.
- I am the tallest student in the class.
- We are the most successful team in Turkey.
- He is the best player in the team.
- Asia is the biggest continent in the world.
- Sevgi is the funniest girl in our class.
- My car is the newest car in the park.
