Oman Mall is a popular shopping centre in Muscat. It has three floors and many lifts, so people can go up and down easily. It has many shops, office buildings and cafés. Parents bring their children to have fun activities like ice skating and playing computer games.

I can’t forget the time when I spent two weeks at the hospital last year. The doctors were very nice, but I was bored because I couldn't go out to play with my friends. I spent most of the time watching cartoons and writing diaries on my tablet.

The sports centre is a fun place to play in. You can play many sports there like football, basketball, volleyball, hockey and golf. You can also do gymnastics. The centre has a swimming pool too! It's a great place to stay healthy and have fun.

When I go swimming, I jump into the cool water and move my arms and legs easily. I like to relax when I am under the water and how easy I feel when I swim. Sometimes, I try to swim faster or learn new skills quickly.

Oman is a great place to enjoy water sports. People can go snorkelling to see the beautiful fish. Also, they can try windsurfing, but they need to learn how to swim well! Both sports are fun things to do in Oman, especially during the summer holiday.

I like being a photographer. I carefully choose the best place to take a photo. I love taking photos of nature, people, or special events. My digital camera helps me to see the world in a new way and every picture tells a different story.

What a day! Maha and I tried to find the sports centre. We started by walking down the street near Laila’s apartment. Then we went to the stadium where Maha’s brother was playing a football match. Somehow, we got lost and were late for our swimming class.

Maha said, 'It’s this way,' near the hospital she visited last April. I don’t remember when she went to the hospital. Then Maha reminded me of the day we went to the chocolate factory. She got sick and spent some time in the hospital. Finally, I remembered that boring day she had.

When we thought we were going to be late, we found a map on the wall. The sports centre was behind us, just around the corner from the entrance. We were happy. It wasn’t too far.

One of my favourite sports is swimming with my face down using a tube. Learning how to breathe while using the tube is very important. I would like to improve my skills in swimming. Now, I am attending swimming lessons every day. I feel happy about it.

In Oman, it does not snow, so I can not do winter sports. I am thinking of going to Canada next winter. The weather there is cold and lots of people go to this country, so they do the sports they like. Some of them go every year.

I want my friends to be healthy, so I started teaching them karate at dinner time. First there were just two friends. Now there are thirteen and so we started a club. We go to classes every Friday. This sport helps people to protect themselves and to be safe.

Also, the sports centre has a skating area where you can skate and enjoy. After doing sport you can drink a cup of coffee at the café near the skating area. Many children and families visit this place at the weekends. It is a good place to stay healthy and have fun.

Skyscrapers are very tall buildings. They are built in big cities where there is not much space on the ground. They have offices, hotels, apartments, restaurants, and shopping centres. People use lifts to move between the many floors. They make cities look modern and exciting.

The palace is very big and pretty. It has many rooms and tall windows. Visitors can see the nice hall and the fountains outside. The palace is open on Fridays. Families go there to walk, take photos, and enjoy the lights and music.

The fort was first built in the 13th century and later rebuilt in the 16th century. It has strong white walls, tall towers, and secret underground rooms. Long ago, Sohar was an important city where people bought and sold goods with India, China, and Africa.

Today, Sohar Fort is a museum that tells the story of the city. Visitors can see old weapons, coins, and pottery inside. From the top of the fort, people can also see the sea and the town nearby. Sohar is still a nice place for visitors who want to learn more about Oman’s history.
